Or, 'Drawing Strength from Old Wounds.' A tribute to Jack, or Subject Zero, from Mass Effect.
Whew. I got unusually ambitious with the background. It took a lot of work, and I'm not completely pleased with it, but it's done. I may experiment with alternative backgrounds later. I am quite happy with how the figure turned out, though.

This is simply AMAZING, wow all of those details, the shading and depth. I really love Jack's expression, did you have a reference for this, either way, its mind blowing-ly good!
Thank you very much! Oh, yes, I DEFINITELY had to use references. The Mass Effect Universe art book and the Jack model references provided by were invaluable in making this picture. I never would have gotten her outfit and tattoos accurate without them. I stared at the tv screen for a long time to do the lineart for the background because I couldn't find any references for the engineering sub-deck. I changed the colors and object placement a bit.
Well you did an amazing job, I am just in awe of it really. I wish I had the skill to bring such a scene to life like you did. However I don't but it doesn't mean I can't enjoy other's work who can!
You know there is an Easter Egg that if you fail to save Jack (if she survived the suicide mission) in Mass Effect 3 from the Academy, she is turned into a Phantom. Spoiler alert
